If you are looking for relevant art, mindful beauty and fresh design concepts, you are in the right place. My goal is to create functional art that speaks to YOU, while celebrating the material it was born of.
I celebrate the imperfect bubbles trapped in hot glass, I am attracted to the stubbornness of raw metal, the woodiness of lumber, the grit of concrete. In my mixed media pieces, don't be surprised to see individually marbleized paper, scrap fabric, candy wrappers, old architectural details, river bed stones or dried flowers from my garden. I do have to admit- I play favorites. I am passionate about glass. I solder them Tiffany-style, I fuse and slump them in the kiln, I etch them with acid and I mosaic with them too.
Glass Paper Scissors might be about ecological sustainability of creating but it is also about economic sustainability of whimsical art shopping and the occasional indulgence. So may you find art that speaks to you. My design style is the souvenir of my journey. Now let's talk about artwork that will sing your song.
How it works:
Since I want the designs to be all about your story, it works a little differently from art fests and big box stores. You don't have to buy what you see, but you can.
You see a picture you like, you email to ask if still available. If yes, you pay by PayPal and I ship/ you pick up.
You see something you kinda like but would like to customize, you email me, we chat design, I hear your budget, I give you a quote + a deadline. If you like it, you pay 10% so I can share a sketch with you. We chat again and if needed, make changes. You pay 30%, I start making. Once completed, you pay the rest and take it home (or have it shipped) at the end of your deadline.
You have something you want to incorporate in an existing design or want to build a design from scratch, you email, we chat about budget etc. you pay 20% so I can share a sketch with you. We chat again and if needed, make changes. You pay 30%, I start making. You pay the rest and take it home (or have it shipped) at the end of your deadline.
You have an art piece, now you want to design your space around it. Email, chat, pay half, I design, we make changes, you pay the rest and you now have a whole new space.
